Kalpana "Kaye" Patel Fraley

Kalpana “Kaye” Patel Fraley joined Folkens Law Firm, P.A. in April 2016, coming from the Children’s Law Center in Columbia, SC where we was a Regional Attorney Trainer. Prior to that she was an associate at the Florence law firm of McGowan, Rogers, Stewart, Hiller & Krize, P.A., and a partner with the Florence law firm of Herron and Fraley, P.A.

Fraley’s main area of practice is in the area of family law, including divorce, child custody, visitation, child support and adoptions, as well as personal injury. She also serves regularly as a Guardian ad Litem in contested child custody and adoption cases.

Kaye was also an adjunct professor in the Paralegal Program at Florence Darlington Technical College and at Virginia college, both located in Florence, SC. She is currently an adjunct professor at Columbia College located in Columbia, SC.

Fraley has been a life-long Florence resident. She graduated with honors from Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in December 2003. She attended law school at the Appalachian School of Law. During law school, she conducted an externship at the Florence County Family Court under the Honorable Jerry D. Vinson Jr. She also attended Brasenose College at Oxford University, where she completed a Family Law practicum. Kaye graduated from law school in December 2008 with a Juris Doctorate, and was subsequently admitted to the South Carolina Bar in May 2009.

Fraley is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Florence County Bar, the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association and is licensed to practice in South Carolina State and Federal Courts.

Kaye and her husband, Kevin, are parents of one daughter and expecting their second child this fall.
